I love teaching 6th and 7th grade English Language Arts at St. Theresa School. I get to share the two things I am most passionate about: Christ and Literature. St. Theresa School is a loving community of faith that I am proud to send my three boys to as well.

With 8 years of experience teaching science and religion in the Archdiocese of Chicago, I am so excited to share my experience, knowledge and passion with students and our middle school team.

I grew up on the south side of Chicago and the south suburbs. I hold a degree in Geology (Secondary Education) from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and I am currently pursuing my master's in School Leadership and Administration at Concordia University.

As a member of the National Science Teaching Association and a collaborator with Fermilab, I am dedicated to advancing science education. I also led educational initiatives at the Griffin Museum of Science and Industry.

I enjoy creating experiences for students that will be memorable for a lifetime! I look forward to a great school year!

Middle School History

With a passion for teaching history, I am committed to helping students discover the relevance of history in their everyday lives. With trying to bring historical events and figures to life, encouraging students to explore the connections between the past and present. While also keeping students engaged and having fun in the classroom.

I hold a degree in Secondary Education: History from Dominican University. Where I also played Division 3 College Baseball for three years. As well as at Oakton Community College, where I played in the 2021 Division 3 JUCO World Series.

I am extremely excited about beginning my teaching career at St. Theresa and can’t think of a better place to be!

Art -  Rm. 10

7th Grade Homeroom L2

I vividly remember an occasion as a young girl when my mother gave us permission to color all over the family room walls. She was redecorating, and thought it would be a great way for us to be creative, and at the same time, to keep us busy! Perhaps that is where my love of Art began.

I studied English and Art at the University of Notre Dame, and upon graduation, worked in the business world as an editor. It was during this time that I met my husband, Don, and we decided to start a family. Fortunately for me, my husband shared my passion for art, which transferred easily to our seven children. Our house is always full of homemade decorations, welcome home posters and birthday banners.

It has been pure joy for me to combine my love of children with my love of art and fashion it into a teaching career. I am so happy to be St. Theresa’s surrounded by many fine artists.

It is an honor and privilege to be part of the middle school team teaching English Language Arts. Growing up I attended elementary school at St. Anne's in Barrington. I believe in the foundation of a Catholic School education, and I am excited to be back teaching in a Faith based school. The community has been so welcoming - It's going to be an awesome school year!  In my spare time, I love ceramics.

Middle School Math

8th Grade Homeroom L4

I am super excited to be part of the STS family! I attended Catholic schools from the elementary grades through my undergraduate studies and have taught in Archdiocese schools for several years. In middle school math, my goal will be to work towards finding opportunities to differentiate learning, to connect math to other learning areas in order for students to feel accomplished as they prepare for high school. I also look forward to sharing my faith and helping my students deepen their own.
