Parents Association

PAWelcome to the St. Theresa School
Parents Association!

At St. Theresa School, we believe that parental involvement is essential for creating a vibrant and nurturing educational community. By being an active participant of the Parents Association, you not only enrich your child's educational experience but also contribute to the overall success of our school.

Why Volunteer?

  1. Support your Child's Education: When parents are actively involved in school life, students are more likely to thrive academically and socially. Your participation shows your child that you value their education and are committed to their success.
  2. Build Stronger Connections: Being an active part of the Parents Association allows you to connect with other parents, teachers, and staff members. It's an opportunity to forge friendships, share experiences, and collaborate with like-minded individuals who share a common goal: providing the best possible learning environment for our children.
  3. Make a difference:  Your involvement can make a significant impact on the school community. Whether you volunteer your time, talents, or resources, every contribution counts. From organizing fundraising events to assisting with classroom activities, there are countless ways to make a positive difference.
Ways to Get Involved

  1. Attend Meetings: Join us for regular monthy Parents Association meetings where we discuss upcoming events, initiatives, and ways to support our school community. Your input and ideas are invaluable in shaping our programs and activities.
  2. Volunteer Opportunities: From helping out at school events to participating in fundraising campaigns, there are numerous volunteer opportunities available throughout the year. Whether you can spare an hour or a day, your assistance is greatly appreciated.
  3. Join Committees: Get involved in one of our many committees, such as becomming a room parent, special lunch mom, dine and share, new family ambassador, community outreach, or event planning. It's a great way to use your skills and interests to contribute to the success of our school's programs and initiatives.
  4. Share Your Expertise: Do you have a special talent or professional expertise that you can share with the school community? Whether you're a dentist, artist, or police officer, our students would love to learn from you! Your unique skills can enhance our educational programs and enrich the learning experience for all students.

Mission Statement - The Parents Association is open to all parents or guardians of students of St. Theresa School. Its functions are to support the school, encourage community within the school, provide enrichment, and provide assistance as needed to the school. Our group of volunteer parents is considered the heart of St. Theresa School.

Do I need to do anything before volunteering?
It is a requirement of the Archdiocese of Chicago that anyone who is in contact with children needs to complete the compliance training and stay current. The Information to the training and continuing education can be found at the link below:

By completing this training and staying up to date with safety requirements, you will be able to continue to join in the many activities planned for the students, teachers, and families at St. Theresa School.

Remember, when parents are engaged and involved, everyone benefits. Let's work together and be a part of something special!
